Benefits of In-water
Hull Maintenance
Since you've reached this page, you probably already know how hull fouling from marine growth can affect your vessel's performance, fuel consumption, and appearance, whether a powerboat or sailboat. Fouling of your boat's hull, running gear and through-hull fittings can be a year-round process, even with a freshly painted hull. Depending on your boat's size, type and configuration, in-water maintenance may be more economical and efficient than hauling her out for a hull check, scrape and scrub. In-water cleanings during the growth season can increase the time between haulouts. Lakeside Hull will come to your slip or dock and gently clean the bottom from the waterline down to the keel, including all running gear, through fittings, and exterior transducers or speed indicators. We'll visually check the hull for blisters, and inspect and replace sacrificial anodes. We can also provide before-and-after digital photos of your hull and everything below your waterline. When cleaning your vessel we observe established, environmentally conscious Best Management Practices for Divers. This both protects the marine environment from the potentially harmful effects of toxic antifouling paints, and prolongs the life of your bottom finish. 2007 Service Rates Initial Hull Cleaning: Vessels up to 25 feet overall length – $65.00 Flat Rate Vessels 25 to 40 feet overall length – $2.75.00 Per Foot Vessels over 40 feet overall length – Please Call or e-mail for Quote Catamarans, multiple outdrives and heavily fouled craft may require additional charges Zinc Inspection & Replacement With Hull Cleaning – $5.00 per Anode Plus Cost of Zinc Without Hull Cleaning – Call or e-mail for Quote Digital Photo Hull Report With Hull Cleaning – $10.00 Without Hull Cleaning – Call or e-mail for Quote Other Underwater Services Available by Quote Scheduling Service Print out the Vessel Information Checklist available here, and return it by fax or e-mail.
